Five items not to forget for your next road trip

Planning to hit the road with your family this summer? If so, no matter how prepared you are, there are things you may miss that always come in handy when you're on the road. Here are five.

1 - Booster cables

Cars today don't break down as often as they once did, and batteries are less prone to draining from forgotten headlights. However, it is still possible and if it does, you'll thank yourself for taking the time to drop jump cables in the trunk before you left. Who knows, maybe you will be the one called upon to come to the aid of someone else?

2 – An alarm

Some modern vehicles are equipped with systems that detect our level of attention, but this is not yet the norm. Fortunately, there is an anti-sleep device on the market. The latter triggers an alarm if fatigue is detected. It continuously measures your level of consciousness and concentration with eight integrated skin sensors that monitor your electro-dermal activity. Smart.

3 - Organizational envelope

With young children, your vehicle's interior can quickly become messy, despite all the storage it offers. In addition to the latter, you can get a kind of envelope that can be grafted to the back of one of the front seats. The latter has compartments where you can store books, pencils, wires, electronic devices, in short everything you need that always ends up on the floor or that you end up losing. A little discipline and organization, the job will be done.

4 - Storage box

No matter how much you enjoy a vehicle with generous cargo space, there is always a shortage of space when you hit the road on vacation. If you haven't yet purchased a roof top storage compartment, now is the time to do so. Plus, since it's locked and difficult to move for criminals, you can store your valuables in it and have peace of mind.

5 - Blankets and pillows

Children sleep easily on the road. Adults too sometimes. Therefore, it is good to hit the road with blankets and pillows, in order to offer a certain level of comfort when it comes time to fall into the arms of Morpheus. In the case of pillows, these will also be used at the hotel or campsite where you have planned stops; there is nothing quite like enjoying your own pillow.
