Driving an electric vehicle: a lot of advantages

When electric cars first appeared on the market, the obvious advantage that emerged in relation to their driving was of course the fact that suddenly, stops for refueling were no longer necessary. However, as time went by, we realized that a lot of advantages awaited us at the wheel of an electric car. Here are three of them.

1 - Technology

Electric vehicles are a way for manufacturers to offer us a window on their future. As a result, and to seduce, they are going all out. In terms of technology, they are often equipped with the latest advances, whether in terms of safety, performance monitoring, or simply the choice of original and environmentally friendly materials. The Chevrolet Bolt is a good example of this, offering a futuristic environment and using "greener" materials.

2 - Performance

The first thing you discover at the wheel of an electric car is that the response of the mechanics is instantaneous. Torque, among other things, is sent to the drive wheels as soon as you touch the gas pedal, so performance is always interesting. It's useful at the start, of course, but when it's time to overtake, it's downright exhilarating. And performance is also about the handling of the vehicle. With batteries located close to the ground, which lowers the vehicle's center of gravity, you enjoy impressive balance. Once again, the Chevrolet Bolt is an interesting case, because this car gives us more than what we expect from it.

3 - Other advantages

We don't think about it when we buy an electric vehicle, but when we find ourselves in heavy traffic, we realize that we have access to a lot of reserved lanes, which saves us a lot of time. The same is true for some parking spaces when charging stations are present. And what about that feeling of never having to stop at the gas station again to fill up? It was mentioned in the introduction, but it is important to remember that thousands of dollars in savings are within our reach with the transition to an electric vehicle.
