Chevrolet finishes 2nd in J.D. Power's Initial Quality Study

Chevrolet finished second in the recent J.D. Power 2020 Initial Quality Study. This survey measures new vehicle owner satisfaction during the first 90 days of ownership. Chevrolet finished second while Buick and GMC also ranked in the top 10.


This year, J.D. Power has changed its way of doing things and has put more emphasis on the quality of its technologies and their ease of use. The new Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC models particularly stood out in this regard among their satisfied new owners.


In addition to finishing 2nd among all brands, Chevrolet also had three models that won their respective segments for initial quality. These are the new Chevrolet Blazer, the Chevrolet Tahoe and the Chevrolet Sonic.
