BrightDrop electric truck to be produced in Canada by GM

GM has been very busy in January. The automaker has unveiled a whole new electrification strategy for its vehicles in addition to unveiling a brand new logo. General Motors also unveiled a new all-electric truck aimed at businesses and indicated that this new product will be built in Canada.

Brightdrop is a new banner from GM aimed at businesses and commercial customers. One of the new company’s products will be the EV600, a light commercial truck for delivery and transportation companies. This new vehicle and other commercial electrified GM products will be built in Canada at the CAMI plant in Ingersoll.

GM will invest nearly $ 1 billion in commercial product development at the plant, which will become the world's first high-capacity plant for building commercial electric vehicles.
